I remember Mr McKenzie and his white hair wandering around the playing fields beyond where we had been playing , in the small wooded copse, urging kids to go to their class. It was mass hysteria on a child's scale which can be very loud. It's one of those things that sticks in your mind even when you are an adult who should know better - but who knows ?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1927099035382448194.post-11311508045082729502016-04-09T17:39:06.132+01:002016-04-09T17:39:06.132+01:00Hi Peter, photo shows the view from our back garde...Hi Peter, photo shows the view from our back garden in the Bank. One occastion we got such a scare that we didn't stop running until we reached home. we were both walking down a dirt footpath near an old Rubber Mill and for some reason we both turned around and witnessed a woman with a white dress hovering off the ground and you could see the grass underneath her feet. It spooked us and I have never ran so fast in my life and getting home I explained this to my mum who said, Oh that will be the White Lady. As the days went passed we just got on with our lives and tonight for some reason it popped into my head again tonight so I did some checking on line and came across this BlogAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1927099035382448194.post-1610009973091532162013-09-23T21:50:36.777+01:002013-09-23T21:50:36.777+01:00Very interesting story!. Recalling an account from the early 1970's by my pal Eric Mullen (Oxgangs Ave)he, his sister, Liz, and my brother Dougie Brown, Derek Aitken, Stuart Robertson and possibly Stevie Montgomery ventured up to Comiston House/Farm ruin as a dare, while exploring around, unknown to them, Liz Mullen climbed onto the roof and rang an old bell, resulting in 5 wee laddies doing somersaults in fear and taking off at great speed. :DAlan Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12587669246308336532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1927099035382448194.post-83067388559206745192013-07-13T03:43:58.787+01:002013-07-13T03:43:58.787+01:00Wow, just stumbled across this blog and can't ...Wow, just stumbled across this blog and can't wait to read through the whole thing.
